About “Charles”

My journey in the automotive industry began in 2008 at Valvoline Instant Oil Change in Syracuse, NY — starting as a technician and working my way up to store manager. That early experience taught me the value of process, accountability, and developing the people around you.

From there, I moved into service writing at a Volkswagen dealership in Binghamton, NY, where I discovered a genuine passion for the customer side of the business. I then broadened my technical foundation as an interior and electrical diagnostic technician at Ford before finding my true calling — air-cooled Porsches.

I spent a decade immersed in the world of classic Porsche, working at independent specialty shops and eventually owning my own shop in Charlotte, NC. Those years sharpened my diagnostic instincts, deepened my appreciation for precision engineering, and gave me firsthand experience building and running a specialty automotive business.

In 2023, I joined Pete's Otto Shop as Shop Foreman and have since grown into the General Manager role, overseeing all facets of the operation. What drew me here was simple: the owner Tiger's genuine passion for the craft, a team that feels like family, and a long-standing legacy — started by Pete himself — that deserved to be carried forward with care. The opportunity to help shape that future is one I don't take lightly.

My wife Sierra and I moved to Valdosta to slow down, get closer to her family, and plant roots in a community we could truly call home. Within a week of arriving, we found out we were expecting our son Lachlann, who has since grown up as a part of the Pete's Otto Shop family and already loves everything about cars.



Throughout my career, I've always believed that the best measure of success isn't personal achievement — it's how many people you bring up with you. At Pete's Otto Shop, the opportunity to grow, improve the lives of our employees, serve our community, and carry on something meaningful is truly endless. I look forward to spending the rest of my career making the most of it.
